For drivers who already hold a licence and have stopped using it — after a break, a move, a fright, or years of being the passenger.
People who passed years ago and then lived somewhere they did not need a car. People who moved to Ireland with a licence from abroad and find the roads, the roundabouts and the side of the road unfamiliar. Drivers who had a crash or a near miss and have been avoiding the car since. Parents who let their partner do all the driving and now need to do the school run themselves.
None of that is unusual, and none of it is embarrassing. Driving is a physical skill, and physical skills fade without use. A few structured hours brings most of it back far faster than white-knuckling it alone.
The first lesson is an assessment as much as a lesson. Enoch drives with you, sees what has held up and what has slipped, and tells you honestly what is worth working on. Some people need one lesson to settle; others want a handful to get comfortable on faster roads or at busy junctions.
There is no fixed syllabus, because you are not a learner. The content follows whatever you actually need — parking, roundabouts, merging, night driving, the N3, or simply enough time behind the wheel with someone calm beside you to stop the anxiety.
Lessons run from Navan in a dual-control car, which matters for nervous drivers: the instructor can intervene, so you can relax.
If you learned to drive somewhere else, Ireland has a handful of things that trip people up: driving on the left, roundabout priority, narrow rural roads with no verge, and speed limits in kilometres that change quickly between town and country. A couple of lessons is usually enough to make all of it ordinary.
Anxiety after a crash is common and it responds well to structure. Lessons start where you are comfortable and move outwards at your pace, with the reason for every instruction explained. The words students use most about Enoch in their reviews — patient, calm, clear — are exactly what this needs.
